My Pi needs a GOOD home.....

I've been watching the Pi boards to see if someone out there was interested in a white-capped Pionus, but haven't heard much in the threads lately. My male Pi is going to need a new home. It kills me to give him up because I am an animal lover at heart, but I just can't keep up with him. I'm beginning to feel he is being neglected. He is 3 years old. We are in the Gulf Shores Alabama area. I will consider offers for him. You can email me [email]deleted by mod for privacy reasons.

i gave up my cockatoo because of the same reason but it broke my heart and looking back on it i know i could have found the time for him somehow. before you give up your baby, please look at somehow changing your lifestyle a little to see if you can give him the attention he deserves.. rehoming can be super stressful on the bird, and on you too..

aw poor kali *hugs*
I can really empathise with you jerrey because I feel the same about my husky pups. They don't get the attention and exercise they deserve. I love them heaps and they're really great dogs and quite obedient as far as huskies go, but they destroy the backyard with their boredom, aren't nearly as obedient as any of our collie heelers ever have been and aren't even loyal or affectionate.
Listen to Kali's comment. Why do you feel he is being neglected? If he is healthy and seems happy, you might be speaking too soon. Maybe stick with him for a while and talk to some other Pi owners on the board- you'll get a feel for what's a normal Pi lifestyle, and if your fid's getting the right care.
If you find no other option, make sure it's a really good forever home, and that they're willing to send you updates. If they are not willing to do that tiny litle compassionate thing for you, ask yourself how will they have the time and commitment for a bird?
Hope it turns out well for you both :)
