COCO PICS !! Update 6/04/08

OK, I just talked to Cori Knoll. She has been handling updates and donations for Coco, Kiwi & Bailey since they came in to TGF.

A bit of a side note. Cori has set up a Fundraising page for Coco. You do not HAVE to donate, but it's a nice page to link or pass on to anyone you think may want to donate.

**UPDATE**
Newsflash.....COCO is a HE. She said he is eating really good, and getting used to his shorter beak. Also great news, he's playing with toys. He still stays a bit at the back of the cage, but he is doing great. He can't preen yet, so they are helping him by toweling him and preening what they can without causing him to stress.

Kiwi the Amazon is doing great, and eating really really well. Bailey the Tiel, is also doing great, and to quote Cori..."She is just so animated and chatty"


I must say, when I first saw the first pic of Coco, I burst into happy tears. What a fighter this guy is. Birdy Angels are watching over him for sure.

WOW what a difference!! He looks so much better! His beak looks so much healthier, at least he can eat now, even his feathers look brighter!! YAY FOR COCO and THANKYOU TGF!!

I just got up to speed on Coco's story. My initial reaction was to decide that I hated people (again). Then I looked at it from a different angle. It was people who did this to Coco, but it's also the good folks at TGF who saved him. Thank you for having the dedication to help birds like Coco. he's looking much better already.

Well hey - just as I'm about to log in and ask how Coco is doing, here is the post!!! Plus, Gbird - you are showing me what toys I bought him!!! (I just called up, gave them a dollar limit and had them pick things out for him) good good. Does he have his new cage yet? I made my boyfriend make a donation to :-)

I just don't understand. You know, it is so sad how people can do this to an animal. If you don't want to take care of them, then find someplace to take them, don't abuse them. I am so grateful that he has someone to protect him and I hope that all animals in need find an angel to watch out for them...

WOOOHOOO COCO! He's looking wonderful!
Will they have to trim his beak anymore? Or will he natually 'grind' it down with toys. I'm so glad all three birds are making a great recovery! Hats off to all of you at TGF!

WOW what a difference!! I'm so glad at his improvement!! And his feathers are beautiful compared to what they used to be like. YAY!!
I'd hate to be bitten by that beak, though. It looks sharp!
