I am trying to add a couple of books to my collection. The first I've found-Parrots Handfeeding and Nursery Management by Howard Voren and Rick Jordan

The problem is the second one--Parrot Incubation Procedures by Rick Jordan
I've found it here http://www.featherfarm.com/catalog/p...roducts_id=253 at the feather farm for $35.00. I also searched Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/off...?condition=all and I find several of them in used condition at $95.00 to $192.00. ?????????????????????????????????

Is this the same book??

I got the first one you mentioned last week on Ebay for $12, it is different to the 2nd one. I had to send it to a rellie in the States as they don't ship overseas so I have to wait to actually get it.

I don't think I am explaining myself well. :( I got the first one too. I don't understand why I am finding the second one at such a wide variety of prices. Is one the original and one the updated edition?? Thanks to anyone that can help me. I want the best and most current information, but why pay 192.00 if I can get the same book for 35.00????

Its probably the difference between the hardbound, full edition and the paperback abridged edition. Not sure however. I know that Joel has the good one, so maybe he can enlighten you. May I also recommend Avian Medicine: Principles and Application by Branson Ritchie and Drs. Harrison. Its, in my opinion, the finest avian medical reference available. I use it at least once a week. I have that and the companion book: Avian Viruses Function and Control by Branson Ritchie. Its like having a vet in your home. I wouldn't keep exotics without them. Will gave them to me for Mother's Day one year. At that time, the two books were about $300. The prices are much more reasonable today. Heck, its still cheaper than ONE trip to an avian vet.
