Baby Pictures

I was at the bird store visiting Bing today and I couldn't resist taking pictures of all the new babies. I thought I would share a couple of them with you. They're awfully cute although there are a few who are still at the stage that only a mother or crazy bird person could love them.

A big mess of babies snoozing between feedings. They are in the daytime baby cage. Bing was in this cage when I first met him.

I don't know what kind of bird this is but he's awfully cute.

Another shot of the same guy.

Oh, I don't know, I think that the little dinosaurs are cute. The only thing is that their feathers look like they would hurt coming in...They look so big on their little bodies.

What does a military macaw look like all grown up?

When do you finally get to bring mister bing home?

Military macaws are mostly all green. They have a little red on their face and possibly some blue in their wings but they mostly look like a big green bird.

I think Mr. Bing will be home within a week or two. He is a very hardy eater and is taking less and less interest in his bottle. I wouldn't doubt that this time next week I'll be posting pictures of him in his new home.

I am so excited for you. I am also a bit jealous. My baby is still in the egg...I am waiting patiently for him/her to hatch AND then I have the long wait for weaning.

We can have baby posting contests once I get mine.

MILITARY MACAWS! Oh my, what adorable, precious little things! I tell myself over and over and over again NOT to ever plan to get a macaw (I plan to spend lots of time travelling around the world, and I wouldn't want to neglect one!) But I can honestly tell you, if I saw those little naked bubs- let alone my favorite species of macaw- in a petstore near me, I would most certainly fall in love and put down a deposit! Fortunately, there are never any baby macaws around where I live- let alone militaries!
hmmm ... maybe I'll just travel around Australia with my macaw? Not the world... >;)

Those baby pictures are adorable!!! I think the bird you were didn't know the name of was a lovebird, but I could be mistaken.

Yes, macawlover, I am quite aware of your incredibly gorgeous military macaw... quite jealous too! You're blessed to have one. May I ask of his temperment?
