Kiwi almost died today..

Well, it has been a long couple of days for this family of 10.
Our home has flooded and nt' sure if we'll be able to live here...we just moved here about 4 months ago...and had lost our other home..long story.
We lost alot of things......anyway. Was home checking on my flock and checking things and Kiwi was making this wierd noise. I turned and thought he was playing with one of his toys.. come to look again and his beak was stuck as well as his neck in there .. I panicked and was shaking as I was watching him flop around. he was really stuck and was gentle as can be.. it seems like many minutes went by but, honestly it wasn't that long..
But, he is doing fine.. Ahhh. thank God I was here if I'd of come home to one of my birds dead.. I think it would've just sent me over the edge...

I'm so sorry about your house. I think water is the worst--you have the damage seeming to escalate as the water recedes and everything starts to dry and/or mold. I hope you and the family have found a safe shelter and I am really glad you all got out okay! The scare with Kiwi must have been really bad at such a time. Thank goodness you were there; think Kiwi must have a little birdie guardian angel. Hope things getter easier for you all around real soon!

I am glad Kiwi is ok.. and sorry about the floods, I live just above new orleans, and katrina left loads of molds. good luck on the clean up.

I am so sorry to hear about your house, and I hope that things will fall into place for you with a place to live and everything you need being restored to you. I am glad to hear that Kiwi survived his trauma and is doing well.

I'm very sorry to hear that you were one of the unfortunate ones hit by all of the flooding, thats just terrible. Hopefully you don't lose your 2nd home in a 4 month span, that would be just down right nasty luck.

I'm glad you found Kiwi before anything bad happened! I'm sure just the scare was enough at this point for you. Hopefully your luck turns around soon.
