My Irn And His Nesting Area

Hi
My IRN has been acting pretty crazy for the last month .
Every year , by spring time , he gets an item from the house to be his mate, I think , and he does not let anybody come close to that, he goes crazy.
He is 5 years old and very tame.
This year he stays close to a furniture we have , and he makes all the songs that he knows, and he does not shut up for one minute , but when I go out side he goes back to his cage and stays there, like a normal bird, then when I get back in the house he flies right to his "nest place"close to that furniture and starts every thing again, it's like he wanted to protect that spot from me.
Also when I get him , he bites me , but only close to his furniture, and he eats it.
I put him in a different room for a wile , to see what is going to happen.
I go and visit him in the other room a lot and he stays on my shoulder and act all normal.
Have any of you had the same experience ? What did you do?
Thank you
