Wow, I'm glad you posted this, because before now, my soon-to-be husband was to get all of my animals. . . but now that we're getting married and are only separated when at work, I should probably talk to my brother.

But, before that, Mom & Dad get Opie, Scarlett, & Bella. Now that my brother is going pre-vet and we have a few more animals, I'm thinking mom& dad would get Bella & Chance and Scarlett, and the kitties would go with my brother. Although the kitties would be VERY upset if they were separated from the dogs. Hmmm. . . .more thought needed.

The onyl thing I know is that my in-laws will get none of my animals. They have a bloodhound who is an "inside" dog that is left outside, in the heat, all day long in a small side yard, who is never bathed, has eye and ear problems that require daily cleaning, which they never do and so she gets infections, gets fed crap food, and is left alone for days. They will NOT be entrusted with my babies!

I never made arrangements for my Beetle while he was here; I had mentioned to my parents that if something happened to me, I would prefer if they contact his breeder first for rehoming. If she was not available, I said my sister or niece could take him in. If they declined, I had 3 co-workers that would likely have considered it.

It's certainly an important aspect of pet ownership to consider. I am single and have no children and while my parents love animals, they are in their 70s and in fairness, I can't leave the responsibility to them.

On a silly note, I like to joke that my friend's dog is a my "fairy dog daughter" ;) I bring her toys and organic treats when I visit!

Yep, my birds have godparents!! I would have you be Ollie's, but his old owner said that if anything went wrong that she'd like to have him back first. So you can be the back-up godparent if you'd like, Tiff! Heck, you can be the back-up for all three!

Well, I still live at home and my mum loves all my babies just as much as I do. The thought of getting rid of them if anything happened to me would be unimaginable for her!
macawlover- can I be Ollie's back-up, back-up godparent? Just kidding :D but I found out today that militaries go for $70,000 here, and there is a year's waiting list :(

If anything were to happen to me my mum would take my dog in an instant, but i doubt luke'd want to get rid of her if i went. she's my very first baby, my child, even!! he would hold her and love her through those long, sad lonely nights without me ;-)

Luke would keep Boo, he's his daddy :) if something happened to luke as well, i guess Boo could go to a few different friends, he's loved by everyone :) maybe MEL could be his godmother, if anything were to happen to his mummy and daddy <3

My bunny and guinea pig would stay with luke as well, but he'd probably try and fob them off to someone!! maybe GRACE! she's awesome :)

there we go, list done :)
