Exclamation Has Anyone........

Has anyone been contacted today by a member who just joined today (will not name names) inquiring about adopting your bird? I got a personal message from someone inquiring about adopting one of my macaws (didnt specify which one). Said she would very much like to have contact with me. Left me two email addresses and a cell phone number. I find this weird because my birds are not up for adoption. She claims to have alot of experience with the macaw breed. Just seems a little weird... person just joined today and has posted nothing. Anybody else been contacted or am I just the lucky one here?

No unusual PMs here. I'd be suspect of anyone who refers to macaws as a breed as opposed to a species but that's just me ;)

I would foward the PM to one of the admins to be on the safe side.

They just p.m. me through this site. They left me a cell phone number and two personal email addresses and said they looked forward to having contact with me. I did reply through this site (never away from) saying that none of my birds were up for adoption and that I didnt know where they would have gotten such information. I did forward the messgae to one of the moderators as per her request. (I have a Dewster too ...LOL) Just seemed really phishy.

I got the same message a couple of days ago. Asking about adopting my birds. I just ignored it. I don't know who it was since I don't have any birds for adoption and if I did, I sure wouldn't adopt them out that way.

About a month ago, I got a PM from someone who had just joined that day saying that they wanted to chat with me...I ignored them and noticed that they never posted anything in any threads. I thought it was fishy, but they didn't ask about adopting any birds.

So sounds like the same person making new accounts to send the same/similar message daily using fresh accounts?

Very odd, do they really expect a 'why yes, yes I want to rehome my bird and you sound perfect'...
