Smile The little things that make you smile

I was just getting all mooshy thinking about my little sweetheart, Ashling. I was watching her sleep by my side, so small and innocent. Her tiny eyes were shut, little grey eyelids and upturned beak making it look like she was smiling and happy. Her head was fluffy and if I touched it to scritch her, she'd whistle softly and turn her head to the side, fluffing her feathers even more. When I reached for the remote, my body moved a centimeter away from her and she urgently snuggled deeper into my side, ruffled her wings and went to sleep. When I slid out of bed to go on the computer, I stroked her head to keep her sleepy, covered her with the blankets to keep her warm and tiptoed over. I looked back, and her little head had poked of the covers and was watching me. She whistled to say "come back" and crawled towards me...

Tell me one of the little things that make you love your bird even more... the little things that make you smile...?

That is so sweet! I love it when the babies are out playing and flying around and then when they get tired they all fly to me, find a spot on my shoulder or chest and snuggle up against my neck to sleep. And when one of my birds is out and something scares them, they fly right to me for safety instead of freaking. And when I grab my car keys or jacket and everyone starts chirping cuz they know it means I'm leaving and chirp when I come back...I know you said just one but I couldn't pick.

When J-Bell is on my chest and I look down and say "Bellyhead!" and she takes 2 hoppy steps so she can rub her head onto my face, our kisses. Also, after the vet examined her in a papertowel hold, she released her and she ran up my arm to my neck for 'safety'. I'm glad I represent a safe haven for her. Also, I love when she's out and nearby and she comes to me, the little clickety clack of her step on some surfaces.

My favorite thing ever, is when I lay down on the sofa, and sunny snuggles in under our favorite blanket and snoozes with me. That is the best.

That's adorable :o

I love it when Siena (my tame tiel) isn't satisfied after 5 minutes of headscratches. lol I feel like I could go on all day sometimes. She is such a pretty bird, all yellow.

Benny, my ringneck, is so cute in his morning vocalizing ritual. He jumps/hops around while making the funniest honks and beeps. Idk where he learned them from. When I say, "ooh benny's a happy boy this morning!" he usually goes for another 1/2 hour. lol

Right now, Max is whistling to this shiny toy I picked out for him. he's totally in love with it.

Everything my birds do is cute, except when they purposely spill their water dishes or scream a lot... but even then, I just think of the cute times, and shrug it off. :)

I love how Emma Lynn snuggles with her daddy. It makes me smile and so very happy each time I see them.

These are adorable posts!! I like it when Oscar falls asleep on my arm when I'm giving him scritches... And when Cheyenne's eyes close for a bit when I'm petting her head and cheeks... I haven't had Ollie for very long, but there have been times where he lets me give him scritches as well.

I love it when Bella attacks my sister and then runs over to me and snuggles... then slowly walks across the couch, bites my sister again... and then quickly runs across couch and tries to burry herself in my arm. haha

Yesterday, for the first time ever, my little green cheek climbed down from the back of the couch and snuggled himself into my neck and went to sleep. It was so so sweet, because it's the first time he's ever done anything like that, and it showed me that he's learning to trust me more.
