Foraging toys

Do your birds use them and which ones do you use? I just spent a small fortune on three of them today for my caique. I got the rubber ball with the bell, the green barrel one, and a house that you put the food in and they push a button to open it. Are there any your birds wont use? I am hoping this will add another (albeit it small) dimension to my caique's life. If it takes off, then I will buy for the conure also. My plan is to have them use them out of the cage with me before I put them in the cage (the caique is a little timid with new things).

I have macaws and use foot toys all the time. It's good to also develop strength and dexterity in those little feet. I use kongs, the big dice you can buy, nutri berries, wood blocks they chewed off of their toys but still have a lot of wear left in them, tennis balls, rings (make sure to get right size so they don't get heads or bodies stuck in them). Just about anything safe they can get their little claws on.. they love them.

My Senegal Sammie LOVES his rubber ball with the bell inside. I try to change what I pu inside. This week I used corn husks that I left to dry. I stuff one or two in there each day for him to rip up and take out. When there's nothing inside, he likes hanging from it and chewing on the rubber.

My vet told me "NO" tennis balls because of what they are made of. Have you ever had any problems?

A cardboard box filled with toys and food is great if are on a budget- or have no job, like me :D The toys you got sound great! I buy her something whenever I have money and am out. I get more excited buying her stuff, than buying things for myself! She likes foot toys best- balls with bells in them :)
