Cool cage liner for parrotlets

what is good for lining the cage for a parrotlet? i'm talking about a screen of some sort over the actual bottom of the cage that allows the crud to fall thru so the bird doesn't have to walk and eat in the stuff. i can't figure what would be good for the comfort of the parrotlet's feet along with a size and material that would allow free passage of droppings through the screen to keep the area cleaner. any ideas? i've done some searching on this website but came up 0's. any help appreciated.

I use white paper towels so I can see if there is a problem with the poo. I change them each night. I put them over the grate. Keeps the grate clean. She never gets on the paper towels.

I don't use paper towels for anything anymore. The glue that binds the layers together could be toxic to birds.
I buy wrapping paper from UHaul and change every other day.
