It's normal unless she's chewing on them. :) Our budgies are always attending to their feathers. They're either eating, sleeping, preening, or chittering. Those feathers are really a lot of work to keep neat.

Welcome and congrats on the new baby! Birdies preen themselves avidly. If she's just preening it sounds fine. If she's itchy, it might be lice or mites- do you know how to check for them? There's plenty of treatments available if it is. Is she chewing them or plucking them out? I don't think it's anything to be alarmed about, just thought I'd bring up some possibilities :)

greys do preen alot... mine preen non stop....guess they wanna make sure they live up to their stunning reputation!
