Found solution for my noisy birds!

After many death threats by my husband on my two tiels for sqwauking all the time I have finally come up with a solution that works great! I moved their cage into the back room so they can make all the noise they want without bothering anyone. Then when my husband goes to work I put them on a play stand in the kitchen with me! They love it, I love it and my husband doesn't know they exist! Its great for everyone!

Glad you found a solution for your problem. Its never a good thing when someone threatens violence against a bird or animal for that fact. The possiblity of him hurting the birds when you aren't around would be there. Happy to hear that things are working out for you now though.

I make them quiet with a treat, like a huge piece of lettuce for them to gnaw on. Always seems to work! I bet they don't like being put in the back room for long, away from you. That sucks, my boyfriend complains about my (five) birds some mornings when he sleeps over, but I just tell him to bugger off if he doesn't like it. I am very firm about how they NEED to vocalize, especially in the morning, and that a loud bird is a happy bird. Why should they EVER be punished for their regular noises??
