It could possibly mean that your GCC is male, but like others have said, it's no guarantee! I've heard of same sex pairings going through the entire mating ritual!
Royjoy, cockatiels have mated with various other species before, however never successfully reproduced until hybridized with the galah... so I doubt they can hybridize with a "true" parrot.... As for the conure/macaws, here goes! This is believed to be a sun/hahns ![]() Here's another that no one is quite sure what it is, but somehow came up with a sun/blue crown/mini macaw hybrid??? (I actually doubt that this one has any macaw in him) ![]() This one is said to be a hahns/jenday or a hahns/jenday/nanday, but to me looks to be a hahns/nanday ![]() As for the galatiel, pictures and video here! Talking Birds - Australia's Avian Newspaper Talking Birds - Australia's Avian Newspaper Ashling, Indiana is probably female, especially if she shows female characteristics! I've never noticed any difference in the color of the orange cheek patches when it comes to the mutations in cockatiels!
