Naked and Feathered!

To think last Saturday these guys were naked and blind...well they have feathers and the eldest has that urge to fledge. The UPS guy came today to drop off a package and was suprised to see them and this is the second time this year he's been attacked by angry parent birds. He took a picture with his camera phone and came back to get a picture of the little guys with his digital. :) They're becoming a little famous with the post office and ups.

And, the father heh. He's a bit of an odd one. I've been having to tap on the glass of the door to get him to fly off the nest to get the mail if it doesn't fit through the slot. He made a trip into the sun room already and today the tap didn't work anymore. I gave'em a little butt poke and that worked. :)

AW! Look at them all growing up. It sure does sound like they're famous! Well- there are people on the other side of the world who know of them.
The father is very handsome. He sounds like he's getting very tame (or cocky?!)

they are on your door right? most of my crew has moved on already.
Bluejays in the back, chickadees in one house on my porch, wrens in the other, and my cardinals are still outside sydneys window, and he talks to momma, but I cant see them as the rose of sharon bush is big and full now.

We had two robin nests this year, and it's surprising how fast they grow! They've already left the nest, though. It was fun watching them take off for the first time!

Right on the door. I've got three new pictures to add as they had to shift themselves about. I'll peek out the door to see if mom still sticks by the nest. She still sits with them even though they're not naked.

Lets see. We had mocking birds in the frontyard hedge, the robins on the door, sparrows, and cardinals in the lilac bush. Bella does the mama robin chirp perfectly. She can see them through the glass of the door and she's not a welcome visitor there either. All she talks about is 'birds' lately. Heya, bird. See the bird? Hi there bird. Hear the bird? (Chirp, Chirp, Chirp.), Bird! Bird, bird, bird, bird! Birrrrrrd, Want cookie bird?

They're SMUSHED into that nest. Momma can't sit on them anymore and funny thing is I had Bella on her harness watering the flowers out front. Well Momma robin and the father saw this big grey thing on my shoulder and divebombed us both. Bella was like 'whateva.' :)

Checked on them tonight seeing the mom's not there on the nest and two are sitting on top of their sibblings to keep warm. :)
