Bamboo?

Ok stupid question maybe and I must admit am too lazy too look it up so I thought I would ask here.
Good or not good? I have different kinds and don't rightly know if they are good to use as perches and toys or what not.
I know to not leave it slippery, and just really need to know if it is possiblt toxic or not.

splinters?

Hi' I thought the same thing but was told it splintered too much and the splinters were sharp and could harm the birds. I don't know if this is right or not but I put the bamboo in the garden as a stake instead.

I know this won't tell you if it's toxic or not, but I ran across a bird toy site last week that has some of their toys made from bamboo.

I have heard the same thing. That it splinters sharp and can cause wounds.

So, do you think you could put bamboo (like you find in the grocery store, home depot, etc.) into the bottom of the cage and let the bird play with it as it wishes? Chewing of leaves or chewing at the bark? This would be pretty interesting.
