Anyone in MN looking for a Congo African Grey??

I was looking on an online classified site and someone has a CAG on there. You could tell the bird plucked but it wasn't too bad but in the picture he is in his cage and I didn't see any toys or anything in there. I emailed them even though he is a little more than I can afford right now and they emailed me back and actually said, "He plucks because he is bored and no one takes him out to play". Basically they KNOW what is wrong with the bird but don't care enough to fix the problem. I emailed them back to see if they would go lower on the price and suggested (as nice as possible) that maybe they could give him a toy or two to play with I also asked what kind of diet he is on and they said he isn't on a diet I thought I would put something on here as well in case someone would be interested in getting this poor bird.

Actually re-homing the bird is fixing the problem... they obviously can't give the bird what it needs so its looking for a home that can. Although giving up an animal can be irresponsible, it can also be the best decision for the animal too!

I have always wanted a CAG, poor baby! I hope someone is able to take him in!

Yeah, it didn't come out the way I meant it. I was talking more about at least giving him some toys so he won't be so bored.

Haha i figured that. I understand what your saying.. they might as well try to do something while they have him, until they can find a home for him.

The problem is alot of people try to make money back on their birds, asking $1000 "adoption" fees. I support asking for money, but some of the fees I have seen are outrageous for people "desperatly" seeking homes for their birds and birds with issues.

I would LOVE to bring him home with me, but Mom won't let me take in any more birds... Where's Brilliantfeathers? She'd be interested!

Oooohhhh.. love to but I've decided that after we adopted Sami we would not adopt/rehome a parrot that's gonna outlive us and quit scanning the local ads
With that said, 2 more budgies are joining the flock this weekend.
And speaking of ads that I promised I would never, ever look at again there is a grey in Columbia Hts w/cage for $600.00 - A YNA seeking a new home - a U2 - baby greys in SSP at a discount because the mother bit all their toes off - time to get back to work..........

At the price they go for over there, I'd buy him in an instant. The two at the only store in the area with large birds are now, if I remember, at 4 years old- $6,000?
