Vacation with birds

I am going on vacation and taking BOOBOO and LuLu. I am leaving in a couple of weeks. My question is how to transport LULU. She is my Catalina Macaw. New to our home. What type of travel cage will a Macaw fit in. BOOBOO has traveled many times and is great at it. I mainly need suggestions on LULU.

You may have to get the large travel kennel, something that will not tear his tail up. My good friend uses a large dog kennel with a perch mounted inside.

ooh how fun to take your birds on vacation!

When I travel with my ekkie I use this crate
Midwest iCrate Folding Double Door Dog Crate - Crates & Kennels - PetSmart

its super easy to attach perches and toys to and I get the food bowls that clip on the side and its folds down for storage
I love the double doors, they make it so easy to clean and access my bird, I have half the mind to buy the largest one they have and swap it for my bird cage lol

It's also a whole lot cheaper than buying a comprable sized bird travel cage

I personally like the hard sided dog crates for in the vehicle because I feel that they provide more protection if an accident should occur. My conure travels in a small hard plastic carrier.
