Can a Bird Die from Depression?

hey i know how you feel, i was lied to about my bird as well. they said he was only 12 weeks but he was definatley older than that when i did some research. i still love him to bits but i hate irresponsible pet shops like that,.

give him an earful, he deserves it. make sure he never does that to any other bird again.

i am sorry for your loss but go there and take some anger out, then get yourself a bird from your awesomely responsible breeder :)

I went to the Pet store and resolved it I am sorry I havent written back sooner way busy in my world right now so I went down to the store raised some hell demanded they either give me my money back or another solo Parrolet.. after they tried to BS me into believing the bird wasnt a bonded male or over a year old, and that they sell little birdies all of the time that are fine and that their employees and breeders know nothing (pretty much tried to convince me of this) that its all opinion and crap like that they gave me another baby solo parrolet.. they didnt want to but I wasnt going to have it any other way they finally shut up long enough to hear what I was saying I was even willing to show them proof and that IF they didnt resolve it I was taking it to Call Curtis on channel 13 News and to the Local Editor of the Newspaper they gave in I really wanted my money back so i could go to my breeder but they wouldnt do that.. they let me pick another baby parrolet from a clutch of about 6 I think it is a male but I am not sure I will be taking Mango my Conure to the Vet next week for a DNA sexing so I will probably bring this little one along with me and get it checked out and sexed as well so i know what I have over all it worked out ok I see a HUGE difference in this baby.. it plays, chirps, and perches and seems overall to be a healthy happy bird so we shall see I will keep you all posted i have some exciting things working out as soon I get the final ok I will fill everyone in I love this forum.. you guys are all great !!

It went as can be expected :) I got a new solo parrolet fr them but I could tell they were indignant about doing so i wrote an update in the bird forum about it I will let you read it there so im not repeating myself LOL all in all it worked out but I am still very sad over my loss of Jasper i need a nrew name for the new baby so maybe some ideas would be good it cant be renamed Jasper though trying to think of a good name for it *HUGS* thank you so much for your concern I will be posting some pics later on of the new Baby and my Conure :)
