Question Pine ???

Ok, So I've read that Pine is safe, except the Pitch Pine. Does this mean all other species of pine are safe? The Pine around me are just common pines..Look like big christmas trees. I just wanted to make extra sure before I went out and started collecting..What made me wonder this is I worked at a tree nursary when I was a teen, and there were many many different types of pines we grew, with huge variations.

I've never heard about certain types of pine not being ok but I have read that you are supposed to let it age for about a year so there is no sap. The sap on the bird's feathers would be a huge mess.
