Another Oscar Update

Oohhh I am so happy. Well I got Oscar a new big cage as the one he was in was way too small but it was all we had at the time, and I was setting it up, and I knew the only way I would get him out of the old cage without him taking off a finger LOL was to take the top off the cage and use one of the perches to get him to step up.
Well as I headed over to put him in his new cage he didnt want that LOL, so he went to the floor. I have his wings clipped since i cant handle him, it would be impossible to catch him at this point. So he went to the floor, and that is the only way I can get him up with my hand is if he's on the floor, and he climbed right up. Well he went up my arm and I let him go to my shoulder (and i know it turns into a dominance thing when you let them do that, and I will probably pay for it later LOL) and well this is the first time he's ever wanted to do that, every other time he just either tried to fly off or went further down my hand.
so I feel we have made a huge accomplishment today. While he is up there, he is making this weird little noise, not sure how to describe it, its not hissing but it sounds kinda like it but shorter and quicker and like a few at a time, dunno what that means as Im still learning all his little sounds and his BIG sounds LOL
Anywho, I thought this an accomplishment today and wanted to share it with you all.

That's great! You can let him sit on your shoulder, just watch out. I let all my birds sit on my shoulder except Zeke but that's because everyone else is nice and Zeke isn't. He bites so the only time he gets to go on my shoulder is if I know he is scared of something and every so often for a treat.

I was expecting to have my ear pierced but he sat up there sweet as you please, making that little noise, and I even had a scratch behind my ear and I was afraid to do it cuz he hates hands LOL But I reached up there anyway and he didnt do a thing, didnt even hiss.
But when I tried to get him off, oh my goodness, he didnt like that LOL I keep the extra perch to use as a step up tool and it seems to work great.
I wanna snuggle him so bad though, but I have to realize that may never happen, but either way he's stuck with me.
