Teaching Songs

What songs have you guys taught your FIDS to sing. As I just posted I am trying to teach Echo to sing oh oh oh it's magic but he will only get excited that it is playing. How do I go about actually getting him to sing a song?

I just kept singing to Daisy and she started to get some of the words down to Bingo. Alex don't say much...I'm not totally sure if she will pick more up or not. She says hello and pretty bird and pretty much just started saying them at 14 months?

What age did echo start talking at if you remember?

My sun doesn't really talk. He says hello, hello sunny, I think he says goodnight and good morning. And he does a little whistle. That is it. I would think that just singing it to him over and over and over again. Good Luck.

Honestly, I never thought I would sing as much as I do having macaws. For some reason, Newt picked up on Happy Birthday. It just caught his ear and he sings it alot. He seems to "listen" to higher pitched voices like women or children. He loves the Wizard of Oz and will start singing when the munchkins come on, and he really liked the movie My Fair Lady when she sang , the rain in spain...

I think they're like us, some music they just like more than others. Just keep singing to him. He'll get it.

Have a look on youtube. There are some GREAT parrot singers on there! Especially the Amazons.

Chirpy doesn't talk but oh boy does she whistle!! She learnt a few songs now and we're currently working on "how much is that doggy in the window". It's such a buzz when she eventually gets one down pat!
