My trip away (photo's included)

So about 2 weeks ago I went to visit my mum who has my 17 yr old cockatiel living with her...he's so old! Him and Beetle had a bit of a biff, Beetle got told off for bashing up an old man...Daisy (yes a male) had a go at Matches too but she's a big wuss and just tried to keep her space. Anyway here they are.

Matches got kicked off by Daisy

Daisy

Matches after getting threatened by daisy...keeping her space lol

Now the good stuff...lol, Casuarina Parrot Gardens (avairy) I visited while down there

VERY friendly Glossy Black Cockatoo, so cute!

Some Severe Macaws

Amazons

Please hold while I attach more pics.......

Great shots! Had to laugh at Daisy. My Greg pushes everyone else off the perch closest to the window when I come up to the screen to chat. When I am not around, he is happy to have Dharma (his mate, or even Syd or Piper, the other males) sit there with him, but Mom belongs to him!

Oh my gosh what nice photos. I love those golden conures. I had never seen those before. What a pretty colour of yellow.

Poor Daisy, he looks so grumpy. I don't blame him though if I was getting my place over run with young whippersnappers.

Thanks for the photos.

I know, I didn't even know we had hawkheads in australia but there they were, i didnt even know we had umbrella or mouliccan's either, it was fantastic, there were heaps more birds like redbellies, senegals, meyers, more macaws, lots of lories and cockatoos and ekkies and amazons it was crazy cool!

I knew most of the birds but got a bit stuck on the Illiger's macaw, they were so so cute! We had to make an appointment because he had to lock up the guard dogs...and just think how many $$ of birds were there, just a hint...macaws go for about $7,500 as an average (mini's about $3,000 except Illiger's and GW and scarlets about $13,000), amazons about $5,000, probably $4,000 for the poi's and caiques, about $5,000 for the cockatoo's (except the common ones like sulfers), $15,000 for the golden conures (he had about 8), $17,000 for the hawkheads (he had about 6) and he had lots of pyrrhura conures that are hard to get here which would have cost a bit too....and those prices are each...OMG!!!
