What a beautiful greenwing! My old greenwing (now at a different home where he has fallen in love with a female greenwing), Buddy, has left me with some scars right below my lip! He actually sliced it open twice, and the first time I went to the emergency room just to have it glued back together! The second time, I glued it by myself. Probably not the safest, but it saved us $400!
So yes, they can do quite a bit of damage! You get used to their big beaks, though.

He is a beautiful birdie! There are absolutely no stores around here with anything bigger than a conure (and from the way some of those are kept, I'm pretty happy about that!)

I still get a kick out of everyone being so intimidated by the beaks I look at my babies and I don't even see the beak anymore. Of course, I know the capability is still there, but it's so funny how these ginormous birds become 'normal' size to you after a while I'm almost afraid to hold smaller birds now; they seem so fragile

Shamrock for sale

Oh my gosh,
They are so reasonable $ here. Parottlets that is. And so little and sweet.

As to the Macaw - Look at this shamrock Macaw for $2,000.00. They look similar. Boy if I could afford it!

If anyone can swing it... Kijiji Vancouver Canada - still posted as of today! And no, I have not contacted the seller as I just don't have the room. If I did, I would credit the cost for a beauty like that! LOL

I think I would even help to ship just to make sure it got to a good home. And No This Is Not A Scam!!! LOL LOL The operative phrase being "I think I would"

Sorry, I tried to get the picture larger...

Cheif's Mom, I'm right with you! I don't know how to handle little birds... They're just so light and fragile compared to mine!

GW's are awesome! I'd love to have one. My "fids" and animals quota is full for right now though. I'd have a houseful if I could.

No It was Mr. Petman. This Greenwing was a boarder, he was not for sale. If he was for sale I wouldn't even want to know how much. Way out of my league i'm sure.

I've actually never been there, But my wife has taken our birds there a few times to get their wings clipped. I was just curious about the price, Cause we bouhgt our 1st bird (Buddy) a Sun Conure at Petsmart and probably overpaid by 200.00. Lesson learned the hard way. Thanks Again..
