Bing's Boing and Davey's disinterest

Bing, having scaled the heights of his new Boing

Bing, having navigated his way back down to the bottom. I attached the bottom to his cage for stability until he gets used to it. He's still a little bit clumsy.

Davey, not at all interested in the Boing or Bing. This picture shows how ragged some of his feathers have gotten. I think it is from his cozy tent. He loves it but I think it might have been too small and the friction from the fleece damaged his feathers. He's not an over preener and he doesn't have mites. I bought him a new tent. It is a larger size, fake fur, and the same one the woman in the bird store uses for her Hahns.

His feathers simply look dry, thats all. Does Davey like to take a bath in his water bowl? Will he let you spray him with a water bottle? My little Hahns loves the water. Its nice to see that I am not the only one who has things hanging from the ceiling. Bing looks like he has settled in just fine. Nice pics.

My friend patti also goes with blue for her toby!
I gotta get my greys room painted, as its pink, and well, dont want to confuse the boys!

Davey isnt interested in Boing or bing huh? Lol...he's probably in the mad stage for bringing in this new strange grey thing.

Tom, how nice your babies look. Could Davey be going through a molt? I know that Sunny is looking mighty shabby right now due to his molt. You should see the feathers in the bottom of his cage. I am sweeping the heck out of his area right now.

On another note...I got to see my new baby on Monday. There were three in the tub, and the breeder was not sure which one was going to be mine, but they were so tiny and so cute. They are about 8 weeks old and they have the big bodies and big head and the tiny little neck. I could have just eaten them right up. I guess I still have about 3 months until I can bring him/her home.

Davey and Bing shower four to six times a week (depends if I have the early Mass or not...I let them sleep in on the early mornings so they get a full night's rest even if I don't). I don't think the ragged feathers are from that. I was also using also using a parrot bath spray on him by Mango pet products. I don't think that is causing it either but I stopped using it until I can figure what is. I really think it is from the friction from a too small polar fleece cozy tent but it wouldn't be the first thing I called wrong.

Yes Lisa, Bing is getting 'blued' to death whether he likes it or not because I like blue. I still wish I had gotten him a blue harness and that might come at some point. Although pink goes nicely with grey I agree that maybe the boys should have something different. What I find funny in all of that is that neither of us think it is crazy to paint a room a specific color for our birds!

I love the pictures! You must be so proud of your two. I am really enjoying hearing about their individual personalities. Bing looks so sweet and Davey looks like a little rascal.

Aww they're so sweet. And, your Bing has all his pretty red tail feathers! Izzy has one left! lol He hates any grey-tipped baby feather and only allowed the pure red one to remain. Izzy's our bird version of Monk (from the TV show).

Davey's adorable. I love those sweet hahn's faces.

It's Davey's adorable face that saves him. Lisa G. you are right. He's a little rascal but so totally devoted to me. I took him to the office I used to work in before going into the seminary. He would only go to people when I wasn't around, which I was happy to see him do, but if I walked anywhere near him he hopped over to me as quick as he could. I love the little guy.

Bing is still sweet (mostly) and cuddly. I understand that could change as he matures but I'll enjoy it while it lasts. I don't think I was ever able to call Davey sweet.

hi Tom! I think Bing needs some toys, he must get bored with nothing to play with :) They are beautiful boys and are lucky to have such a caring dad. Jazz says "Hi"
