Just curious

I have 2 budgies (male and female) and 2 cockatiels (male and female). Can a cockatiel and budgie become a pair? i saw the female tiel and male budgie being very affectionate the other day. The budgies are "friendly" with each other but the male tiel thinks he is human and will have nothing to do with the female. Just curious.

I'm sure it's possible for them to become good friends. Nothing more would come out of it because they are 2 different species.

My uncle had a little budgie and a ringneck together. The budgie(male) would try and mate the ringneck. The ringneck was laying eggs and sitting on them (obviously not fertile). It was pretty funny seeing them even sitting side by side. There was a huge size difference.

I've had two male budgies, one male budgie + one male bourke, and even male budgie + female bourke pair up or act as somewhat of a pair. These were different birds at different times, and I even once had 2 male budgies and a male bourke that were like hte batchelors who somewhat depended on eachother and fed eachother... to say the least they shared a cage with two female bourkes who they normally ignored, though the male bourke has now passed on...
