Is this cage setup right for my cockatiel?

this is my cage setup for my cockatiel. I just changed everything around and it looks a lot better.

It looks great and I am sure Petrie is living it up! I juts have one suggestion. I see you use a lot of wood perches for him, which is fine, although you should give him a variety of perches for his feet, like rope perches.

They're affordable, and easy to work with to your liking. My cockatiels love them! But your cage setup looks great! Keep it up!

I use mostly natural perches because they have different sizes all along the length. Also, I use the rope perches mentioned above, but I like to twist em and make swinging perches. My new conure just loves to swing.

I also recommend changing the setup in the cage every few weeks, to keep the bird interested and avoid it becoming territorial. Buy more toys then you need, so when you change the look, the bird will have different toys as well. If a bird doesnt see a toy for a while, it will forget the toy exists and its like giving the bird a brand new toy.

I have one comment. It looks like Petrie has to dunk his head down prettty far to get a drink of water. I've heard of putting the perches above the dish and below the dish, for reasons I forget right now. I guess I keep Belly's water perch right around the same level as where the water dish begins. It's always a little awkward to find 'the right spot'. Otherwise, all looks good. Sometimes I think our birds can feel the love we put into fixing up their cages.

I WAS thinking the same thing, moving the perches in front of the cage down just a smidge.

otherwise, looks good. i like to use ladders like that too.
