All my fids rise at 6:45am. Dusty goes to bed at 7pm, Harley and Gypsy at 7:30, Boots & Bella at 7pm and BooBoo at 8:pm. When BooBoo gets out of quarantine and goes into the bird room she will go to bed same time as Harley & Gypsy. Harley generally tells me when he is ready as he says "Harley ready for bed".

Covers go on at 8:00 p.m. and do not come off until around 7:30 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. (depending upon my schedule that day for getting everyone off to work and/or school). On weekends the covers are on until we get up in the a.m., which is usually around 8:00/8:30 a.m. but go on at 8:00 p.m.

I just put my guys to bed when I go, it could be quite late or not. I don't cover them. They have their own room wit htheir cage s(except Maple right now is in my room). Even though they are out, it is very quiet, with me on the computer. They nap, they fly, they holler, they eat. Usually they are napping when I go to bed and I take them into their room, give them their nightly nut, and head to bed. They may sleep in in the morning, or not, depending on them, and on my schedule. We have no set schedule, and it doesn't seem to effect anyone. I like it this way as if I have to go away and someone comes to care for them, they are not thrown for a loop with a slightly differnt routine. It works for us!

Bed Time

My guys go to bed at 8 PM. They are covered in their cages. We go at 9 or 10. They are up by 7 AM. Same for the weekends

Jacobi goes to bed at 8:00pm and gets up at 7:30ish. If he's being grumpy and a brat, sometimes I'll put him down at 7:30pm. On weekends bedtime and wakeup will usually both be pushed forward about a half hour. But the weekend extra time in the evenings is quiet bonding with Daddy. (who's only home on weekends).

They both go to bed between 7:00 and 7:30 and we normally get up around 7:30 a.m.
They are covered in the dining room and I hear Zen moving around sometimes eating and stuff, but Cory goes to her sleepy perch and doesn't move until I uncover her in the morning.

My pied tiel sets the bed time. When she is ready for bed she goes to her spot in her cage and chirps continually until I cover her usually around 9. Then depending on my shedule they want up when they hear me up. If I have worked late (too Bad) they will wake me up by 9 am. All my fids take naps during the day.

I put Rico to bed anywhere between 8 and 9:30. Should I be more specific on the time? He usually wakes up around 7 am. I don't yet have a sleeper cage and I desperately need one. It's easy now because it still gets dark early but I see the sun coming up earlier every morning and staying light later.
So I'm curious to what time you put your fids to bed and what time they get up in the morning. What about the summer? Stays light out til 9. What do you do?
Skye puts himself to bed at 7PM, summer or winter. He climbs up in his little hut and lets me know 'it's time' LOL. If I keep him up later than that...he gets cranky and starts nipping. And he gets uncovered at 8AM and is ready to be up. If we uncover him any earlier, he just hunkers down and chills for another hour...so he prefers 8AM, LOL. I'd advise putting him to bed at 7-8PM since he gets up at 7AM, he has more time for sleep that way.

My bird's (full-spectrum) over the cage(s) lights come on at 08:00, & go off at 20:00, this changes by 4-9 minute increments every day, depending on the photoperiod of Northern Brazil. Sometimes they all simply fluff & settle in for a long sleep, or, on occasion, they run through their entire repertoire of words, phrases & sounds until they decided it is really beddy-perch time.

Rivka, my life-pet, sleeps with me (on her own pillow [to start with, but she always winds up next to my head by morning]) so her timing is a bit less predictable than the others. She always wakes me about 45 minutes before sunrise, usually by trying to preen my hair, or rustling her wing feathers loudly as she grooms herself. Once my eyes are open, she presses her head against my cheek and demands at least 3-5 minutes of dedicated petting, scritching, and snuggling. Oh that every persons life should be so joyous!

Interesting enough, Maple (new adoptee) started getting "fussy" at about 9:30, so I put him to bed then. He seems happy about it! ;~) The others are still out with me preening away . . .
