Jodi asked:

so what happened to the amazons you posted in the photo album? I thought you already had at least 1 amazon and a cockatoo.

Ah he... I thought you *already had* an eclectus as well?!

folks I don't know what's up with this guy, but click on his name and read all his posts in one sitting.... he's either pulling our legs, or he's just a guy with nothing better to do than ask the same questions over and over about different birds, claiming, of course, that he "just got one" and needs to learn what they eat and how to train it.

The whole thing is starting to get really annoying...

Angry

I agree Saavy. This is strange. I've read and answered several of his posts before I realized he was the same individual with a lot of birds with problems. I've stopped answering any posts, because like you it is getting annoying.

In fact, ah he, I do believe you said you already had one of each of these birds, at least!

[color=Blue]Hello, I have only one bit of advice....never get a bird because of its talking ability. A talking parrot is just the icing on the cake and should never be a consideration for purchase. Some birds who are known to talk well do not talk at all. I've seen African Greys who never said anything their whole life. So you can never tell...but it's the personality that counts. The best thing to do to decide which bird to get is to do searches online about the different species.

Thumbs up

Research each species for it's particular traits and basic information regarding them. See what breeders are closest, and choose from a good one.

I would say the best in talking ability would be:

1. African Grey
2. Amazon
3. Eclectus

But remember... an animal is a companion - a living, breathing creature, not a novelty. If you buy it for it's talking ability, you will be very disappointed. So research and find the bird that you like for being itself. Good luck in your search.
Well Blake, seems you and I are like-minded, LOL. I knew I should have read the other posts before I wrote mine!!

I know I remember you having a new baby girl eclectus??? Ok..I just checked the photo section....You have posted pics of your "new" eclectus, you "new" Cag, and your OWAmazon??? It sounds like you already have all the birds you should want. I don't know how old these birds are, bu the ekkie appears to be a baby. It takes time for a bird to talk. Spend some time with your birds and relax, I'm sure if you spend time talking with them they will eventually talk.
