Update... :(

I have been really bussy lately so first I'm sorry I haven't posted any more pics of the new fid.

But a couple of days ago Tiko died...
I'm so sad... I feel so bad because I feel like I should have done something.

He was fine one night... and when I woke up he was dead.
I am baffled and in disbelief!
I can't get over the fact he is gone.

I had a neocropsy done but nothing showed up.
He was a healthy weight (and had food in his stomach), he didn't have any diseases, and he didn't have anything broken or bleeding.

I'm so confused... and sad :(



But on a happy note:

Our new girl is very sweet and adjusting well.
She's still in quarantine so she hasn't met Bella yet.

Oh no.. I am so sorry for your loss :( I wish there was an answer as to WHY, but sometimes we just have to let them go without one.

I am happy to hear your new girl is doing well and Can't wait to hear about her meeting Bella :)

I too am sorry to hear of your loss. My heart goes out to you! I'd imagine it to be very difficult, especially when there isn't a reason that can be seen. But may he forever fly free - and may you find comfort in the great memories, and in your new baby!

I had this happen last year as well. The budgie I had gotten for my daughter was fine and playing that evening. We put him to bed as usual. He was on the floor of the cage the next morning looking right as rain (though without a pulse).
