My Sam (my tamest 'tiel - we're working with the other two) LOVES to cuddle. He likes to snuggle into my neck, and my ear, and will sit still for scritches as long as you keep scritching. :)

If they are tame they mostly like cuddles on their heads, inlcuding back of neck and faces and under their chins. My little girl would like nothing better than to take all her naps sitting on my shoulder snuggled into my neck. She feels soft and fluffy and sweet when she does that but unfortunately I am not often able to sit still that long.
Playful is harder to answer. She keeps herself amused with her various chewing/mouthing projects. She can be teasingly playful with me in her behaviors at times. Sometimes she is physically actively playful, jumping on boings or her happy hut and hanging her head out the back of it. She likes to chew on clothing, or hang from people's eyeglasses, that kind of thing. I guess I would say she's moderately playfull. We also do some clicker training where she takes rings and moves them to a preselected spot, and she gets rewards for this. She also rings a bell in clicker training, and we did ladder climbing for a while but never quite got that 'on cue', so now she just climbs her ladders as part of her life activities. But she's also content to sit near me quietly and preen and rest.

Mine was. He liked to snuggle up in my hair. We would take naps together and he would hang his beak in my ear, yes my ear, to sleep. He loved to play with Q Tips. I would arrange them in a cup and he liked to pull them out , arrange them and put them back in the cup. He was a cutie. He lived for 15 years.

I have one that would like nothing to do but sit on my shoulder and sleep. She also like to cuddle by my neck. The others like to fly around and play and land on me then fly off. Each tiel has their own character. They can keep you buys just watching their crazy antics. I have one that walks upside down on the top of their cage. At times I go in to stop since I think he will break his neck..lol Of course they ae more flexible then me. After seeing this I wish I had named him spiderman...lol
