Petey Is Making Me Want To Scream

I dont know what to do with him. No matter what I put his food in, he gets into it and kicks as much of it out as he can. Its wasting a bunch of food and Im at my wits end as to what to do to make him stop.
He is eating, thats not the problem, heck i dont know what the problem is and Im about to pull my hair out about it LOL
Any suggestions or ideas??

Okay. My sun does the exact same thing. I fill up his dish, he throws most of it on to the floor. So my solution was not to fill his dish up. I put a light layer in the bottom of his bowl and he seems to be fine with that. It is almost like in his little brain he thinks, "Gee if the food on TOP is deliscious, then the food on the bottom has to be EVEN BETTER". Try this and see what happens. if you notice that he is eating it all just add more.

I have done that too, with only putting a small amount in the bowl. The cage he is in came with a "splash guard" lid LOL I may have to resort to using that if he doesnt stop soon. he is wasting more than he eats.
I may try giving him even less food than before and see what he does and just check it every once in a while to make sure he doesnt run out.
Thanks for the help.

Stewie will do the same thing if there's "too much" food in his bowl. I end up putting just a little bit of food in a bunch of different places so that he has plenty to eat but there's not a lot in any one bowl.

okay well i dont have a sun conrue but i do have a cockatiel. is ur parrot food an asortment of different colors and flavors if so he might be eating the ones he likes the most. my cockatiel used to do this to the old food i got him. now i got him pellets that he choose and likes. my local petstore lets u bring ur birds in and they get to sample different foods. this is how i found out what food he likes the most and stuck with it. he dosent waest any at all now.

Petey is a cockatiel not a conure. And I have gone from a lot of food in his bowl to just a tad, so far today he hasnt done it. He had seed mixed with pellets and today I gave him just seed and he hasnt done it. So makes me wonder if he just doesnt like the pellets. Oscar doesnt like them either but he doesnt throw food everywhere to let me know LOL
I will see what happens with just the seed and see if that was the problem.
