Cargo Nets

I've seen a couple of cargo nets that birds climb all over but I don't seem to be able to find them for sale. I googled the topic but all I came out with was a DIY article. That would be a disaster. Does anyone know a good place to buy or order one from?

Sorry Tom, the only ones I have seen are on here by those who are talented enough to make them. If I should see one anywhere on the net, I will keep you posted...

Hi Tom,

I was just looking at these the other day. They look super cool but very pricey.

r2usmc - you took the words right out of my mouth.

I thought I wanted one for my boys. I've got to think twice on that now. I now understand why people decided to make one.

I'm not saying the boys will never get one; just not right now.

Thank you to everyone who gave me some links to check out. I've saved them. They will be put to good use at a later date!

OK...

These do not look so hard. All you need is cotton or sisal rope. Sisal is sold by the foot at the hardware store. Cotton is sold by foot or bulk:
Cotton rope

You just need to start at one corner (make each piece of rope about one third longer than you want finished piece to be). Knot weft around warp, then knot warp around weft (yeah... I do ren faires and have weaving experience). The do one to side, one below then one diagonal the same way.

<wonders how much she could get for these out of machine washable cotton at next bird fair>
