Animal Planet used to have a great show called Pettsburgh USA. It often had segments about parrots.

I agree that there isn't enough out there for bird owners. My mom and I were just discussing this very issue. Occasionally, they have tiny segments on birds, but nothing like the other shows.

We should all write to them and request it.

i agree. birds are on liek once a year and dogs a cats are liek non stop. theres probly more bird owners (or bird family members, i consider my cockatiel a member of the family) that would love to watch some bird shows with a bird and learn more on that.

Keep sending email after email to Animal Planet and I am sure someone will get the message. I know I will.

Do you think the 'problem' could be that birds are slow to warm up to film cameras? Well, in any case, there should definitely be more bird shows! Birds rule!

Believe it or not, there is a woman here in Orlando I know that is trying and talking with Animal Planet to try to get a "bird show" with the exotics. She already does a lot of work with exotics here locally. And she has a local show where she talks about the birds.

She is a bird behavioralist and trainer. She will come to your home and help you train with your bird. I know her from Parrots in the Park - a social club here in Orlando that she started.

It would be great if she could get in there and have a bird show.
