Do Fids get carsick?

Okay, I had Bogie in his carrier in the car with me and he suddenly started bobbing up and down then shaking his head from side to side really fast and out of his beak flew some slimy bits of pine nut that he'd eaten earlier. He did this twice. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on with him? I watched him for a couple hours after we stopped driving and he went right back to normal behavior. sooo...... any insight?
Thanks,
Rebecca

Funny you should ask that. I had Bing out this past Saturday for a short car trip and when I got him home I noticed a couple of seeds he must have thrown up on the bottom of his cage (still weaning him over to pellets). He could only have thrown them up because it was a short trip so there was no food in his carrier when we left. I am hoping to get a better carrier that will allow him to see what's going on and that has a good solid perch to give him a feeling of security. I have no idea if this will make a difference but it was going to happen anyway, now I have more reasons to move on it.

Its probably car sickness. You can offer them a slice of ginger before/during an extended car trips to help with the motion sickness.

Wow! I had no idea that they could get so carsick. So a slice of raw ginger might help? Thanks for all of the feedback. I want Bogie to feel good about car trips.
