Just read some good tips!

I'm still reading BirdsUSA 2005 issue. Was just reading it with Rico while he was napping on my arm. Thought I'd share a couple of things I read.
1st they had "the avian schedule" in there. It listed what birds do throughout the day in the wild and show how it can help bird owners set a schedule for their fids throughout the day. I actually read this a couple of days ago and set Rico to it. It seems to be working pretty well and he seems to enjoy it.
I also read that you should put some of you birds toys on the outside of the cage. This makes it more challenging for them to get and do what they want. Which helps keep them entertained while in their cage.
Also read how birds, in the wild, forage for food 50-75% of their waking hours. Said sticking a bowl of food in their face makes it monotenous (sp?) and makes eating uninteresting. They suggested to hide their food in different spots and in/on toys throughout their cage to help keep them entertained.
Just wanted to share this with you guys! They were a couple of helpful hints I didn't know. :aiwebs_02 (the nerdy researcher)
