A great book series!

I started reading this series to my bird-loving 7 year old and now I'm hooked! There are 15 books in the series. It's really neat to learn about owls and there is a whole society and culture that this author has woven around them. I think most adults would enjoy this series too.

Here's a review of the first book.

I haven't read the books myself, but I know someone in Raptor Rescue that says there are a lot of inaccuracies in them as far as information about owls.

:D It still sounds like a really neat story, none-the-less!

Really? I guess the author took a poetic license. I mean, the owls talk, wear battle claws to go to war, and have monastic retreats. It's a good story anyhow.

Oh no doubt. :) IMHO, something doesn't have to be perfect to be a good story - some people are more concerned about that than others, and I've met a lot more of them.

The only reason I made sure to mention it was to be careful taking it too much as learning about owls. I really should read them to see what all the fuss was about anyway. ;)

I love stories like that :D I want to write one but with Ravens, but very accurate in the nature of those birds. Thanks, I'll check out these owl books...
