Cage Question
Has anyone had experience with the Prevue Hendryx Clean Life Cage System? I am considering one for my P'let and I know there have been issues with stuff from Petsmart. I don't want to spend a fortune if I don't have to and this one seems to have the features I want and is a good size.
Let me know what you all think.

it looks way too small, and weak. id recomend a stainless steel cage thats much larger for p'let. they love to play and move around get a cage with a minimum of 30'' each way.

I used to have one. I didn't like it very much, but the layout was nice!
I would have loved it if it was sturdier. The stand is terribly wobbly!

I've seen the Prevue cages and they are so-so. I don't care for the stand but the cage itself is OK, just so long as you go for the biggest one possible (with safe bar spacing, of course). The smallest that I'd go for a small parrot is a 24" square cage, like this one: Bird Cage T4-BK Black 24" x 18" x 24"(Blue Ribbon) at BirdGuys.com - Pet Bird Store But a better idea is a flight cage, like this one: FLIGHT CAGE POWDER COATED - FLIGHT & AVIARY CAGES by Bird Paradise

I personally would not use that cage - my parrotlet's have a large flight cage which they love and use each inch of the room in there. For a parrotlet I wouldnt go any smaller then a flight cage as they are very active and like to fly around, but that is just me.
There are some very nice flight cages out there that are not very expensive - some of them just a little more then the cage you linked while other will are expensive, it all depends on what you are looking for and what you want to spend, but I definitely recommend a flight cage. |
