What kind of bird?......
I saw a pic of a bird and now I can't find it.
I will try and describe it. It was a hookbill, about the size and body type of a budgie, maybe a bit bigger. It had a green body and blue on its head and face. the colors were iridescent? Anybody???

it wasn't as "rolly polly" as a parrotlet. It was more slender, and had a longer tail. Im pretty sure it was some sort of parakeet. It kindof reminded me of a bourke but the colors were different???

my guess would be a turquoisine parrot. they are the same size as a bourke.

I know you said it was probably a parakeet, but when I read your OP, I was thinking a blue-headed pionus.
