anyone here have nanday conure ??

i just got a nanday conure yesterday, and hes the most tamest bird i have ever gotten.. omg when i got him out of his cage he climbed up my shirt right on my shoulder he went,, he is sooo tame.. do nandays have the ability to talk and are they loud like a sun conure ?? any answers would be great.. tina

Hi I have a Nanday named Kiwi. "He" (He has not been sexed so I don't know for sure) is about 2 years and just a goof.

Yes, he can get VERY LOUD and he does talk. He has quite a few phases and laughes just like I do! I got him when he was about 4 months and he was very tame too.

I have Kako a nanday. She is the sweetest thing ever. The only time she is noisy is when a stranger comes to the door. Then she has an ear piercing scream to let everyone know someone is there. The rest of the time she is quite quiet and sweet. She says Wanna Kiss and makes kissing noises. She says aww Kako baby, come 'ere sweetie and nighty. She is about 4 years old now. We have never had her sexed either so she may be a boy but the name and the "she" has just kind of stuck LOL!

I have a 7 year old Nanday who is the biggest suck in the work. He says "Up", laughs at the right times, whenever I clean anything, he makes squeaky noises (like a sponge on a plate). He LOVES music and will dance and rock out for hours. If is on my shoulder and I am talking to someone else and he thinks hes being ignored, he'll start to mumble and talk away with us (no idea what hes saying!) He loves his bath time and is grumpy if he doesnt get it! He is very well behaved and trained, never bites, we play fight and he never bites hard. He can be loud, mostly at new people or things coming into the house.

I had a Nanday named Muffin, she/he would call Momma, or kitty kitty kitty. At times she was pretty loud.. but overall a great pet.
