So at this point I am trying to help him grow his feathers back. His neck is still completely bald and hes eaten alot of the feathers under his wings. He still is scratching a little but not much. I bought him a spray for mites but haven't used it yet. I also have not been able to take him to a vet yet but he seems fine. Its my fingers that aren't fine though.
When I move his cage to another room and let him out he dosent bite so much and comes out easily but wont get on my fingers. He easily gets on the swing from his cage and I can take him places. He even lets me pet him on occasion. Sometimes he can still be snippy.
Now when he is in his normal location, my living room, he trys to bite anyone getting near his cage. He drew blood from my finger once in the beginning and recently again when I let him out in the living room. He climbed on the swing then latched onto my finger. I wasn't thinking because of the pain and kind of grabbed his head while putting him down. He wasn't hurt by it but I know his head is fragile and afraid of what I may accidentaly do next time he bites me.
I'm not sure what to do anymore because I can't stand the biting. I really need advice because the rest of my family wants to keep him but dosn't want to train him, so I have to do the training and taming.

can you please please post your location, the owners may very well be someone on this forum or could be located through this forum. i know that you would like to keep him and you may well get the chance if you still haven't found the owner once you've really tried, i just hate the thought of someone giving you advice on how to better care for what could be their bird.
