Baby U2 Perching!

I just came home from the store and the baby U2 I am hand feeding (9 weeks old) at home is perching for the first time. I love watching them learn, it is just too cool!

Just thought I would share.

Since I've never had the pleasure of handraising a too, is that early, normal or slow (LOL). You no doubt have a budding genius, but I'm too ignorant to know.

Actually, this is my first U2. I have raised an few Goffin's but this is my first larger 'too. They are supposed to wean between 14-16 weeks I am told, so this is probably early to normal I would imagine.

I really don't hand raise that many birds each year, so this experience of watching them learn new things is still exciting for me.
