Voodoo...my new conure
Okay...sorry the pic isn't all that great...will have more, better one's tomorrow.
Once again...my ability to deny a good home to a loving, beautiful, young bird was EXTREMELY weak...and I came home from the New Orleans Bird Fair with a new member of my flock. His name is Voodoo and he's black capped conure. He's learned his name, and will come when I call him....much like a dog, LOL. He loves to snuggle and burrows himself in my hair. He also likes to take baths in his bowl while I clean the kitchen. He's not very verbal, at least not yet. He gets along wonderfully with his siblings, and I'm SO HAPPY that he came into our lives! He's kept me smiling, laughing, and loving ever since he came home with me! Here he is, just popped his head out of the couch after burrowing down, then hearing me call his name:

Nina, he's adorable! I saw the addition in your sig line and was wondering.....
How big is he? Cockatiel size or smaller? I am looking to add a new Fid at our bird fair on 1 May, so far a conure is front runner. I don't know if black caps are available here though. What is his personality like? Does he get along with your other Fids? IS he a baby? Cute name too!

about 'tiel size, I guess...it's been a while since i had a 'tiel, so relative size is kinda rusty...
He is the BIGGEST baby!! He falls asleep on my neck when we're watching t.v.....and he follows me around the house (walking/running) no matter how far I go. He loves squeezing himself into snug places (like between my neck and the pillow on the couch). He has more personality than any of my other birds ('cept, maybe Cayo...but it's a CLOSE call!), and is wonderfully social!! He gets along with my other fids perfectly!!

the breeder was awesome too! I'll get the web address tomorrow.
She gave me a hatch certificate and a copy of his vet records up to date. She's also e-mailed me to make sure he was settling in okay. Her cages were spotless, and all the birds had plenty of toys, fruit, clean water, etc. Every bird was social and sweet...I'd recommend them to anyone!
