My ekkie is a thief!

I have just come back to work after 6 days at home on sick leave. During that time I think I spent most of my limited energy on cleaning up after Alexis and her path of destruction! She does not miss a beat! If its new in the kitchen she is into it. She ate my medical certificate when she raided my handbag. She has also started stealing stuff. I looked in the bottom of her cage and found a teaspoon, one of my bracelets from another room and a toy label!!! The other day I heard her fossiking on the kitchen bench so I went to see what she was up to and she was playing with the mobile phone charger. I said no lexie and grabbed one end of it and at the same time she took off with the other end. She didnt managed to get very far with me at the end of it!! Little ratbag!

OMG - that is priceless!!! I would have loved to see her going around your house collecting items and then sneaking them in the cage with no one noticing. That would have been the adorable. It sounds like she is just full of life!!!!

Now, granted I don't have an Ekkie, but from this cute little blurb, I picture her as a feathered ferret!

Thanks, she is a hoot and yes full of life. Every morning now she expects a wash and blow dry!!! As soon as I start doing my hair next to her cage, she runs over to the corner, i turn the dryer on her, then she jumps in her bath then sits on the edge with wings stretched out, I have to dry her for a while with wings out and she gives a little bum shake then she jumps back in the water, then back onto the side of bowl for a blow dry. Does this 3-4 times then goes over to the mirror and stares at herself for the next 10 minutes. Love this bird to death, she is so much fun!
