Look what I got!!

This is my new Moustache baby that I got a few days ago - I just adore him or her. S/he is just a doll. The exact age in not known, but I was told around 5 or 6 months. I am not quite sure about the sex either - at first I thought female as the beak looked to be turning black, but now that s/he has been home and I have had a better chance to look at it, it looks as if it might be turning red. I have no clue!!!!

S/he has also started to get some of the adult plumage already. There are a few pinkish feathers on the chest area already.

Sometimes I think the beak is turning black and other times I think possibly red. I just cannot tell anymore, plus the pictures look as if some red is coming through. What do you guys think?

Red or black beak/Male or Female??

Oh how adorable, and not camera shy at all. I cant get my guys to pose for anything LOL
Here is something I had read on sexing of them... it might help you...

The male Mustache Parakeet has green plumage with a grey head. They have pretty markings on their heads and faces. The area around the eyes is greenish and their heads have a pretty bluish tinge. They have a thin line over their foreheads and wide stripes on their cheeks. They have beautiful pink plumage on their breasts, throat and upper abdomens, making them very attractive birds. They have colorful wings and red bills. Females generally have a duller pink color on their chests and their middle tail feathers are shorter than the male's feathers. Their shorter tails, light pink bills, and the incomplete cheek stripes easily distinguish immature individuals
