Exclamation Let's check some stats

OK. Let's see who has the oldest bird and the biggest bird. They don't have to be the same bird, but you have to own them. Yehuda will likely win with his huge Scarlet, O'Hara, but we have some Hys, Buffons and some hybrids that might be bigger.

Only parrots please. No turkey, emus, ostriches, swans, eagles, duck, geese etc. need apply.

Also, who has the smallest bird? They must actually be hatched.

I only have one older bird, Taco a 20 year old Yellow Nape Amazon. The others are young whipper snappers.

If we were going by species, I believe that Ms. Tinkerbell would win the smallest in the b&g's - bless her little heart! She thinks her name is Elwood -

O'Hara was 2690grammes at his last weigh in last week. The youngest living with me is AyatLeila @ 9 months, also the lightest @ 977 grammes.

Yehuda:

I'm just curious: have you ever heard of or seen a LARGER scarlet?

Romeo could be in contention for the smallest parrot. He weighs between 25-26 grams. He is a 6 year old Lucida Pacific Parrotlet. He is small even for a P'let. He is definitely a parrot. He can say approx. 20 words and sounds. He makes up in personality what he lacks in size. He brings alot of joy into my life.

Outlaw,

His mother, who I sold to my Avian vet 15 years ago, is larger by about 4 inches & around 45 grammes, according to Dr. Dustin. She recounts how Raquel (Originally Rocky, I thought her a male, pre sexing) would run and knock her "suitors" off the perch. She wouldn't accept a mate, until she ran into one that managed to hold on to his ground. Come to think of it, maybe she should have been named Boudicea :icon_smil
