Weird question

I need ideas for fake lovebird babies...
(Don't laugh.)

Zen has been sitting on eggs for 3 weeks now and is happy as a clam, but it's time to take them away. I've read about other people "tricking" their birds into thinking they've had babies, but it seems to be usually something that the bird itself has picked out. I'd like to try this with Zen and see if it helps. I've had people tell me that she really needs a mate, but Scott and I both think that her destiny seems to really be that she needs to be a mother (even to a fake baby). I am not about to breed lovebirds. Any ideas for what I might try putting in the nest?

I would try stuffing the fingers in a small childs glove and maybe painting some eyes on them. Tuck them in the nest and see what happens. I don't breed any birds, but you never know.
