Oh dear, Ive got a list.
Eclectus (I'm biased I know) They are just perfect, no dust, cuddly, have the cutest baby voices, not overly destructive and just overall perfection. Black Palm Cockatoos , they are the most beautiful birds, the one I met was the sweetest thing! And I love their voices they just sound so cute! Linnies, just cause they are so darn sweet. Lovies, they are so sweet , till one takes a chomp out of your finger, then goes back to looking so innocent and cute and all is forgiven. |

I LUUUV Greys as well. My niece has one. She was a rescue and I am smitten with her... Samantha the Grey. They are such brainiacs. I watch the clip of Einstien all the time. They have huge personality appeal. I love thier smell.
I Love the colours of the Patagonian Conures if we are talking color. In general I love conures for their: attitude, antics, loyalty, size (not too big), cuddle factor, inteligence. I also love their smell. When the day has been really bad (me = youth care worker that had to deal with child abuse disclosures and ministry aprehensions etc..) I can snuggle my nose into the back of Wawa's neck, take a deep breath, feel those soft feather against me face and nothing is wrong in the world. Sometimes I think if we move to a bigger place that I would like to get a Grey. But honestly, the Conures keep me more than busy. Nothing like the cockatiel I had as a youth. He was easy and not so demading/needy. Remember CT92? - the one that flew into my home. Honestly it is hard to nail it down to a couple, really I love all birds, not just parrots. I even the stellar jays we have up here aka camp robbers LOL. I also loooove Ravens, and of all things the Turkey Vultures we have here. And of course Eagles and Hawks... i know dreaded enemy of Parrots (sorry...)

I'm in love with my tiel, so I'll be voting cockatiels. Why? She's social, funny, cuddly, independent, knows how to entertain herself, happy and pretty. Oh ya, and I have to say, not too loud. For all the other characteristics of other birds, I have sensitive ears and am easily irritated by loud noise. So I appreciate her being not too loud.

Cockatiels all the way. For me they are the ideal pet bird. They aren't very loud, they GREAT cuddlers, and they are just so darned loving and playful.
Second, I would have to say the galah. This would probably be the only cockatoo species I would even consider getting as they aren't as problematic and nowhere near as touchy or sensative as the other species. To me they are also the most beautiful. Too bad they're so expensive and rare here in the states. |

I would definitely have to say TOOS!!! Any kind of TOO. Then teils then any kind of parrot.
