Meet Pickles

This is Pickles, our new male Alexandrine Parakeet. He is sooooo sweet and he's our 14 yr. old daughter's bird. They're heading off to pick him up now and bring him home. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I'll be also helping out with Pickles. Our daughter is a very responsible girl and will be great with him.
In about a week or so, we get to bring home Emani, our African Grey. Needless to say, we are all very excited!!!!!!!!!

I thought she liked the Cockatoo? Your family has been hit by the fever.

She absolutely LOVED the Cockatoo, however it was $2400 plus a cage (would take her forever to pay it off) and from what we have read, can be very demanding. We felt for her first bird, this would be a good choice and then when she's older and can afford and also spend the time needed with a Cockatoo, she could get one then. Who knows, yes, we've been hit by the bird fever and I may just want a Cockatoo well before she's able to get one. Right now we're happy with Emani, Pickles, and Tilly.

wow what an exciting time in your house!

ive had the fever since i was little...and only recently (6 mo ago) acted on it and got boogie

it is incurable, yet sometimes can go into remission
and the only treatment is to fondle and visit with every bird you can
