I am so glad to hear that he has been seen and in YOUR back yard. I have lost Bo a few times. Only once from flying out of the yard (I told you about that one - with the car). Another time she walked out of the yard she was only about 12 months old when some neigbours said had we lost a bird. i said yes. I said was it a baby, still a lot of grey feathers, was it tame (did not know her sex then), they said no it is not young and not tame. so I went down anyway and sure enough it was my Bo. She looked at me and came straight to me almost appologizingly.

Another time she once again walked out of the yard (about 5 years ago) across the road into someone elses yard. They picked her up and rang a friend who had a cage and who lived way over the other side of town. Lucky for me they answered the add in the paper I had for her (1 week later). i had given up hope, but yet again, I got her back. There are a couple of other instances too. i am only telling you this so you do get hope that you will get him back.

I too am praying for you Ellie and hope you get him back real soon. i have never got any of my tiels back when I lost them though. I know that one of my neighbours had one because i could hear him whistle the "weetbix' advert that I had taught him, but when confronted they denied it. The only reason i can think that I always get Bo back and not my tiels is that Bo needs a bigger cage and most people don't have access to one of them.

just thought I would add this, while I was gardening this morning I had both birds out with me. Bo strutting her stuff around the yard and skye on her stand (she hates the grass and I was going to shower her). I can hear Bo making her little calling noises so I knew she was near. I went to look for her and panicked I could not find her and she was not answering me either. She does this from time to time anyway i finally found her behind a tree perched on top of the fence. phew. Then blow me down, Skye decided to jump off her perch, I heard her, she was only about 5 feet away from me on her perch. I went to get her and could not find her. The real panick set in as I have no idea if Skye will answer my calls. I went and told one of the kids to help me find skye when I turned around there she was on top of the lawn mower. phew another sigh of relief.

Ellie, that is great news that he was seen, I was really worried too, mostly about hawks. I hope he comes down to the cage. he must be really hungry by now. :eusa_pray
